First visit here which was a bit of a mixed experience. I have walked passed many times, usually during the day and noticed there is nearly always a queue to get in, that should be a good omen you would think.
We decided to give a try after a late shop in town, we had booked but failed to notice it was Shrove Tuesday and they had an offer on. Subsequently it was rammed and the service really suffered.
The first thing you might notice is the step as you walk in, indeed there are two of them. Fortunately the second one didn't catch me out.
We were shown to our table and the waitress arrived after two minutes, we asked for a little more time and she disappeared for another twenty.
Drinks first, and they had no draught lager! Unusually I decided to have tap water which surpassed expectations.
The menu is quite limited and surprisingly there wasn't a lot on it that tempted me.
Service was slow, very slow however the food when it did arrive was very good, a few frills would have made it excellent. I had the 3 course special which I nearly missed as it was almost hidden on the menu, nor was it offered by the waitress. It's good value, so good that I'm thinking they would like to keep it quiet. We shared a nice fried haloumi starter and there was nothing wrong with my burger or the wife's sea bass. We also shared the apple crumble dessert but the wife took one spoonful and then decided that I could have it. It wasn't great, the crumble was more of a muesli, the apple was sharp and very dry, and I couldn't taste the caramel. A bit more ice cream would have helped.
It was another long wait for the bill, so sadly I thought it reasonable to ask for the service charge to be removed.
Despite the experience I would be happy to give it another try.

Always a nice experience at Bill's - food came quickly, was fresh and nicely presented. I like the menu here. It's mainstream, but a little different to your average mainstream place. They accept the blue light card too, so it's brilliant value for money 😀

All good, shame about the automatic service charge on the bill, I prefer to chose how much to tip based on service.

My daughter and I come here on a fairly regular basis. We love it, get the train from. LEICESTER and make.a beeline for Bill's. The atmosphere, staff and general.ambiance is just wonderful. Big shout out to Perrie, Bienvenu and Aniko, looking forward to seeing you all next time xx

Ate at this Restaurant last week & ordered the pancakes. The top three were not great, hard around the edges as if reheated, but the bottom two were completely black & you could break them in half like a biscuit!!!! Having discovered this I RETURNED THEM & the waitress informed us that they woud be taken off our bill. However, when the bill arrived they had removed the 5 stack pancakes, but at the bottom had added the cost of a 3 stack!!! After another discussion , dey eventually removed this, but I think this was very underhand & sly......I wont be back!!!

Kechae from the store is an absolute diamond. She is highly friendly and professional. She supported a colleague of mine with directions back to her hotel in order to make sure she got home safely after dining and was highly professional throughout her visit to Bills. Please pass on my thanks.

Went for breakfast before travelling back home. All staff were amazing, helpful and friendly . Being vegetarian, ir was so nice to have a choice of different options. Highly recommended

12/01/25 - I remember coming here a while back. Wasn’t impressed so never returned. Fast forward a number of years and sadly not much has changed.
Brunch burger - stale bun, patty tasted like it had been reheated. Rosemary fries were nice. Service was ok. Staff nice & friendly but no one checking in on us.

Food was great. Very warm inside on a very cold and miserable day outside. Service was very good by Ibby. He was so friendly and polite and had a big smile. It makes a change to be served by someone so helpful and polite.

We came in and asked about the bottomless brunch and a lady told us it was £5 after 3, bear in mind we can’t at 12 and it was freezing cold and we were starving. We came back at 3 and this other lady said it’s £9 very condescendingly and then said ok BYE and turned around and it was honestly so rude I won’t be going back!
